$85 to join Stampin' Up! Australia? What a great idea!

Join Stampin' Up! for only $85, what a great deal!

Get your business started for only $85!

I can't think of a better investment than spending $85 to join Stampin' Up! as a hobby or business demonstrator. For a limited time until June 30th 2014 that is all it costs to join up, receiving $90 of product that you can choose to customise your kit. (The $169 kit is still available with $235 of value)
Stampin' Up! value every kind of demonstrator, from those who want to discount their hobby to those who want to contribute to the household income.

Being a demonstrator will earn you 20% on your own purchases as well as 20% commission on any other sales you make. All that Stampin' Up! asks is that you put in $400 in orders every quarter.

As well as the obvious financial benefits, you will get the opportunity to earn free stamp sets in your first 6 months in the Stampin' Start programme, earn volume rebates every month, and recruit your own team and receive downline overrides from their sales. See what you can earn with our career plan

But there are other benefits that money can't buy! You'll be joining up with me as part of the Paper Angels team of demonstrators, a team that has had the honour of three demonstrators being awarded the annual Heart of Stampin' Up! in the past 7 years. You can join us in our charity efforts to raise funds for the Mater Mothers Footprints programme and other worthwhile causes, come to our monthly meetings where we mainly talk and craft without any pushy sales talk, attend the annual Inspire, Create, Share convention (to be held on the Gold Coast in 2015), make new friends that share your passion for papercraft and rubberstamping, come to classes and events run by the Paper Angels including the popular Christmas Card Workshops, and more!

You can join here on my web page immediately, or if you'd like to find out some more information then contact me at letscreatebystamping@aapt.net.au.

Come on, what are you waiting for?!

Paper Angels and angel babies

Footprints cards made for the Mater Mothers
This week I had the privilege of helping to make another stack of cards ready to go to the hospital for the bereavement programme. This is a special programme close to my heart at the moment because a very good friend of mine recently lost her little baby girl too early. The team of Paper Angels (our Stampin' Up! group of demonstrators) create these cards for the midwives to hand-stamp the angel baby's footprints on as a treasured lasting memory. The name cards are for the ICU or SCU babies that are fighting hard for their lives. All the products used were bought from funds raised at our Christmas Card Workshops held annually in November, where we hold raffles for goodies donated by Stampin' Up! Australia.
If you would like to help make these cards let me know and I can give you an idea of what is involved and when we get together to make them, or if you would like information on joining our Christmas fund-raising events too.

Charity card-making event for Phillipine orphanages

The Paper Angels team of Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators recently held an all-day charity card making event at Carina Leagues club. We raised money for Quota International and their programme to help the orphanages in the Phillipines. It was a busy day, everyone that came made 20 cards, four each of five designs. Here are three of my favourites:

Perfect time to join me and get creative!

Don't you just love this? It was designed by Liz Collett from our Paper Angels team. I love the little windows that can be filled with all sorts of images or photos or embellishments. You can make one of these yourself with the FREE Printer Tray kit that comes when you join up with me and become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator during October. Valued at $60, it will be a lovely addition to your starter kit which you can buy for $169 and begin your papercraft hobby or business with. Only 12 days left to get your Christmas Printer Tray, so don't just think about it, contact me and be a part of it! (This promotion is being run by Liz Collett only and is not something SU" are promoting)

Paper Angels annual Christmas card workshops

We have received so many enquiries already about this year’s Christmas Card Workshops and are incredibly excited to formally announce that bookings are now officially open. I will be attending the Redland Bay and Wellington Point venues, and Coorapooroo if required, so you have a choice!
If you click on the above brochure, you will be able to read all the details clearly! Note we have kept the cost at the same price for the past 5 years, being $65 for an entire day (10am till 4pm) of fun, friends and creativity. This is great value! Some venues you will be able to purchase lunch, and because they are generously waiving the room hire fee it is requested that you do not bring your own lunch but eat at the venue.
We have provided an opportunity for you to choose a wood rather than the supplied clear mount stamp, for an extra $7; as well as the opportunity to buy the coordinating ‘Framelits Die Cutting System’ for the included stamp set for an additional $32, rather than the separate price later of $42.95. You do not need to choose either of these options, they are simply there for your convenience/choice.
We are very grateful to Stampin' Up! Australia for providing us with donations of SU products to raffle at each event, please bring some extra cash for tickets for what will be a fantastic array of products to win! There will also be the usual Christmas card competition, so get creative!
Payment is required at the time of booking so that your stamp set, papers, sanding system and kit may be ordered.
Please book with me by email or phone 0446 519 915. Places are limited and some venues will book out quickly, so please do book in promptly to avoid disappointment.

a few new things

Here are a few new things I've made recently; the Thanks a million card was a project for my craft group, where we made the card and the chocolate pull treat as a matching gift. I love the French Foliage stamp set, at $31.95 for the clear mount version it is really good value, and so beautiful in autumnal colours. I used Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum and Natural ivory card stock, and also used the Woodgrain background stamp to set the leaves off nicely.
The next card was for my friend Teresa's birthday, and I did a 'rock and roll' technique on the flower from the Summer Solstice stamp set. The Little Leaves die for the Big Shot added some delicate foliage, while the ribbon and button step up the card a little. Although a simple design, it is still effective and shows how pretty a monotone card can be.
Finally a card that I cased from my Paper Angels meeting recently, I love the way the 11/4" striped grosgrain ribbon can be frayed and tied around itself to create a faux feather look. The image comes from the Clearly for You stamp set, and the French Filigree background stamp was versamarked and clear embossed. The Framelits Labels collection is a must have item for the Big Shot at the moment, with 6 different sizes of labels you can create a layered effect or make frames for your photos etc., and at only $49.95 it is a real steal. Available from the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue until the end of July.
Contact me to purchase any of the Stampin' Up! supplied used, we ship all over Australia!

Dinosaur diorama card

Click this link to see a cool card I made and demonstrated at our recent Paper Angels team meeting!
We have so much fun at our meetings, they are never sales- or leadership-based but friendly gatherings where we always make a project of one kind or another. I recently offered to show this card to everyone as Liz had said how much she liked it, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to share it with everyone. If you would like to become part of the Paper Angels team of Independent demonstrators, I would love to have you as my guest at one of our meetings. And now that the Starter Kit is only $169 for $235 of product value its even more of a reason to join me!

craft class returns

What a lovely time we had making these male oriented cards this morning. Thanks ladies for joining me, it was good to see you again after the Christmas break to get back into the swing of things. We made three cards, the Island Indigo and black one was inspired by a Paper Angels swap with Carolyn Lindenmeyer *thanks Carolyn!*
The bottom left card has some of the new Cherry Cobbler embossing powder on the Medallion background stamp. I love the way this looks on a darker card stock, it really lifts the image.
The next class will be on the 1st Tuesday in February at 9.30, at the I Love Coffee shop at Red Edge, please let me know if you can come so that I have enough material cut for you. Seeing as it will be nearly valentines day we will probably make a project for the special people in our lives.

Paper Angels Christmas card event

Back in October I hosted one of the Paper Angels Christmas charity events, yes I know its been ages since then! I wanted to let you know how well we did and to thank the lovely people at Pelican's Nautical Treasures for helping us raise $237 for the Mater Mothers Footprints programme that we support. In this photo are some of the winners of prizes from the raffle that we ran. All the products were donated from Stampin' Up!, they are such a lovely company, I am privileged to be a Demonstrator.

Brisbane Regionals 2009

What a great day it was! Thanks to Liz for driving to South Bank, from where we walked to the Hilton Hotel in Brisbane for a day of training and inspiration. Aaron Scott was MC for the day, leading us through the presentations and 'workshop wows'; he even showed us some of his early work as a grafitti artist(!) before sharing a card idea with us. Somehow Leonie ended up with the finished project which I'm sure she had him autograph to sell on eBay!

Thanks also to Rachael who stepped in at the last minute as my guest - I hope you enjoyed your day and not just my poor attempt at belly dancing... and no I don't have photos!

Kate had a great time swapping cards with other demos, I was very slack and ran out of time to create anything. In fact I think people will be lucky to get Christmas cards this year the rate I'm going!

Me and Aaron, I'm sure he felt something of a celebrity being asked for a photo, but I'm not proud to ask! Shame about the EXIT sign above his head.

Liz was surprised with a bouquet of flowers, created by none other than Ursula. We all appreciate how much effort she puts in to supporting and organising us all, and creating lovely projects for us to make at our meetings, and for all the charity work helping the Mater Mothers.

Me, Liz, Anna and Kate.
When the day was over we went to Ahmet's turkish restaurant at South Bank, boy was it a hot night, we had been frozen in the air con at the hotel, so it was a big shock walking back through the city. I would like to say what a fantastic day I had, made even better by sharing it with friends.

Paper Angels meeting

Before November's Paper Angels get together, we were challenged to create a project using punch art, well that was great as we had just made some of those bottle tags at craft class, so I entered those and also a little card using the new Sweet Treat Cups from the Summer mini catalogue. This was inspired by Julia Bettencourt, and it uses the scallop oval punch for the leaves and elements from the I Wish Simply Scrappin' kit. I won second prize which was lovely as I won a Bright Delights Rub-ons pack (and now I don't feel jealous of the winner of the combo pack who will be announced at the end of this month!). This is one of the many reasons I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, especially as a member of the Paper Angels team, as we get to meet regularly and share ideas and provide support for one another. If you would like information on becoming a member of this fabulous team, please contact me.
