Christmas in July event

If you cannot attend this event, why not make a date with me to do it at your house at a time that's more convenient? Get your friends together and start preparing for Christmas, you know it won't be long until it's here!
June Stamp Club
This month we made some funky creations with our punches. I had sourced a few ideas from the web (everyone seemed to have similar ideas so there isn't really any one source to thank, so thanks to all!) and everyone got a paper bag with the items they needed to make the animal or character inside. After a brief run down of how to make them everyone got cracking.
I had an easy time of it for a change, offering advice on the punch creations when needed. Thanks go to Kim for hosting this month, I know it's hard to escape the house on your own these days, so coming to you was a nice change. Back to normal next month, the 25th July, at my place. Here are the finished pieces, displayed beautifully by Kim and Danielle;

Carina card making afternoon

This weekend I was at the Carina Leagues Club with the Paper Angels team making these funky cards. They were designed by Liz and Kathy, and it was great fun making them.

Here is Lisa, Marie and Jacqui (who was lucky enough to win one of the fantastic raffle prizes)

Keep looking on my blog for more events happening.

6" mini scrapbook

I absolutely love this idea that was shown to us at Convention made from one sheet of 12" cardstock that is then cut, folded and embellished. I have made a few, but this one is for my sister's birthday. As you can see I have used the journalling page for the birthday greetings instead, so this has turned into a birthday card and present all in one! The photos are of Tegan at 4 months old, and her cousin (my sister's son obviously) Keiran.
I will be teaching a small class on the 16th June how to make one of these delightful little books, so please get your name down for that asap!

Olivia's first try at scrapbooking!

Olivia tried her hand at scrapbooking at playgroup last week; it was really hard not to intervene, being the perfectionist that I am, but she did a great job for a three year old!

Sweet Nothings Simply Scrapping kit

I recently made a 20 page 6" scrapbook with half a pack of Sweet Nothings Simply Scrapping kit and some white card stock, the Friends 24-7 stamp set and co-ordinating wheel. The photos were taken by my best mate when we were up at Twin Waters the other weekend, so this is a really great celebration of Tegan's birthday. If you would like to learn more about how I made this album, please contact me and we can arrange a time to get together.

Stamp Club May 09

We made these little bookmark cards at stamp club this month, as you can see the paperclip just slips through the hole in the front of the card, and behind the hole is the greeting.

I used Bashful Blue and So Saffron card stock to co-ordinate with the Washington Apple DSP, I also used a snippet of Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon and a clear button that I stamped with versamark and embossed with white. You could also use rub-ons on the button. The paperclip is sandwiched between two scallop circles, one of DSP and the other of So Saffron, with the button tied and glued between the two circles with hemp twine. I used my Crystal Effects as glue, it is really 'effective'! The greeting on the inside is also stamped on So Saffron and punched with the scallop circle for continuity.
The girls and I had a great time, next month we will be trying our hands at punch art creations, so if you want to come, please e-mail me at flickandmick@aapt.net.au and make your booking as places are limited!
