Baby on the way

The lovely Bec in my team is expecting another bundle of joy very shortly and so the Paper Angels team of demonstrators thought it would be nice to make her a card from all of us. This is what I came up with, using So Saffron and some Perfect Plum patterns DSP. It also uses the gorgeous 'Cheerful treat' DSP that is one of the hostess-only products from the catalogue. I used the 'Heard from the Heart' greetings set, stamped in Elegant Eggplant.
All the best with the new baby!

A card for my loving husband

I made this beautiful card for my DH for Valentine's Day, wasn't he lucky?! Actually he benefitted from a couple of classes I ran so I had some spare ones, lol!
I tinted the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder with white craft ink before running it through the Big Shot, it gives a really nice subtle effect. I then stamped 'Love' from the Tiny Tags stamp set around the 2.5" circle. This was easy to do when you start at the top ('north') and then go 'south', 'east' and 'west'. You can then stamp in between those points to get an even spread.
I punched out the heart from our new glimmer paper ($8.95 for two 12" sheets) and stamped 'Amour' from the Artisitic Etchings stamp set with the white craft ink again. Finish the card off with some white organza ribbon ($11.95 for 13.7 m).
In return I got a bottle of Kahlua and some roses, so I think I did very well too!

craft class returns

What a lovely time we had making these male oriented cards this morning. Thanks ladies for joining me, it was good to see you again after the Christmas break to get back into the swing of things. We made three cards, the Island Indigo and black one was inspired by a Paper Angels swap with Carolyn Lindenmeyer *thanks Carolyn!*
The bottom left card has some of the new Cherry Cobbler embossing powder on the Medallion background stamp. I love the way this looks on a darker card stock, it really lifts the image.
The next class will be on the 1st Tuesday in February at 9.30, at the I Love Coffee shop at Red Edge, please let me know if you can come so that I have enough material cut for you. Seeing as it will be nearly valentines day we will probably make a project for the special people in our lives.

It's Sale-a-bration time!

Its the most fun time of the Stampin' Up! year everybody's been waiting for!
