Clearance rack!

From now until the 10th January you can get hold of some previously retired items and clearance products at UP TO 70% discount! Each week there is a different selection of products to choose from the clearance rack including ink pads, stamp sets, Big Shot dies etc. so make sure you check out the list now before they're all gone! Make sure Santa has your wish list and if you've been good then maybe you'll get what you want for Christmas this year.

Here is this weeks list, but you can click on the link above to see them all so you can be prepared with your order. I cannot guarantee the availability of products until I place the order, so the sooner you place your order the better.

Happy bargain hunting!

craft class Christmas party

A couple of weeks ago I got together with some of the lovely ladies from my regular craft classes for a Christmas party at one of their houses.
We had a great time making a reindeer box (which you can see them holding) that I saw Kirsty Brown make at Regionals in Brisbane. It is such a cute idea and so simple. You make a Fancy Favour box as the base, then take a Top Note in soft suede and use oval and circle punches to create the face of the reindeer. I then used the Little Leaves die for the antlers which is slightly different to Kirsty's.
We had a Secret Santa under the tree, and we had lots of mouth-watering food and drink. I think we should have a Christmas party every craft class!!
Classes have finished for 2012 now, but I will be running them again next year, so I hope to see you there!
Merry Christmas

Christmas ornament decoration class

Today I had a great time with some lovely ladies making the Christmas ornament from the cover of the mini catalogue. I really had no idea how long the class would take so we arranged to make a day of it and had morning tea and lunch as well. Then the unexpected happened and my order for all the products didn't arrive in time, I was devastated as I had planned this for ages and everyone had been able to come on the same day; the thought of re-arranging it didn't thrill me. Fortunately I have a lovely upline, and she lent me her 'Ornament Keepsakes Bundle', along with some tulle ribbon. A couple of the guests also had the set from a previous order, and so thankfully we were able to muddle through the day - I couldn't have done it without you girls!
As it turned out it really only took a couple of hours, but it was kind of essential that we had a few Big Shot machines, and more than one 'Holiday Ornaments' Framelits set.
Thanks for an excellent day everyone, and I know you'll enjoy making some more of these delightful decorations when our order finally arrives! (Just to clarify, it is the delivery contractor who has delayed us getting the order, not Stampin' Up!)

Happy Hallowe'en

I got this idea from Pinterest somewhere, I'm sorry to not remember the originator but these web sites constantly lose me in multiple windows and before I know it I have spent far too long on the computer! Anyway the girls loved helping me make these little orange – I mean pumpkin toppers using the Googly Ghouls stamp set to give to their teachers.
Trick or treat!

Merry Christmas banner

I love my new Pennants Bigz die, and this is my latest creation with it. I've made a couple of these before with the Paper Angels, but this was the first one I made from my own ideas. I've still got to make the 'Christmas' part, hopefully before the big day itself, but we all know how time ticks away from us and we end of getting nothing done so... Must think positive!!

Paper Angels charity event, Redland Bay October 2012

Here are some photos from the Paper Angels charity event we ran this month, raising more than $230 for the Mater Mothers. The Paper Angels are a group of independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators who have fun together creating papercraft. As you can see we had a fabulous time and I'm really looking forward to the last event on Sunday at Wellington Point. If you couldn't make it this year, I hope to see you next year as we'll definitely try and beat our total raised (I'll post what the grand total was after the Sunday event)

Regional Heartfelt event, Brisbane

Two fabulous new promotions – I just love Stampin' Up!

Check out these two promotions that are running simultaneously throughout November. I thought the first one was a great deal, but to have two is brilliant I feel like it's Christmas already! I am actually running a class with some lovely customers using the Ornaments bundle, so how cool is it that they can now get a free paper piercing pack? And with the brand new 'firm foam' ink pads recently released, the second promotion is a great opportunity to score not one, not two, no not even three ink pads, but a full set! (neutrals not included).

8" scrapbook pages

I have been very bad lately at blogging on this site! I was asked recently by a fellow demonstrator if I had blogged a little scrapbook page that I created a couple of months ago, and I had to confess that no I hadn't, so here are a few of the 8" pages I have created. I like 8" pages for a couple of reasons; sometimes I don't have enough time to really give my attention to a traditional  12" page and an 8" page can be made from a sheet of A4 card. (I can get two standard cards from an A4 sheet or one 8" scrap page – doub;e usage! They're not all new, and some of the products used have since retired, but I like these ones the best. Hope you like them too!

Perfect time to join me and get creative!

Don't you just love this? It was designed by Liz Collett from our Paper Angels team. I love the little windows that can be filled with all sorts of images or photos or embellishments. You can make one of these yourself with the FREE Printer Tray kit that comes when you join up with me and become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator during October. Valued at $60, it will be a lovely addition to your starter kit which you can buy for $169 and begin your papercraft hobby or business with. Only 12 days left to get your Christmas Printer Tray, so don't just think about it, contact me and be a part of it! (This promotion is being run by Liz Collett only and is not something SU" are promoting)

Raffle prize for Mater Mothers Bereavement Fund

As you may know, the Paper Angels team of Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrators is running a series of events through October and November to raise money for the Mater Mothers Bereavement Fund. We have been supplying ‘Footprint Cards’ to the Mater Mother’s Brisbane Hospital Bereavement Program since 2008. These footprint cards are created so that the parents of stillborn ‘angel babies’ may have a precious record of their child, who after 20 weeks gestation require a birth certificate and burial. It is a situation that doesn’t bear thinking about, yet sadly it does happen and whilst a footprint record may seem like a small gesture, it is a meaningful record that can be shared, as grieving parents come to terms with their loss.
As some of you cannot attend these events for various reasons you will not be able to have a chance to win some of the hundreds of dollars of products that Stampin' Up! have so generously donated. Well good news! I have put together a pack of coordinating products from the donation box just for you! If you would like to help us support this wonderful cause, then please contact me to purchase your raffle tickets for this prize ONLY
It contains a Simply Scrapping kit, a pack of Designer Series Paper, some alphabet rub-ons, and two rolls of coordinating ribbon, and is valued at over $100! Tickets cost $1 each, 5 for $3 or 10 for $5. Good luck, and thanks for your support.
Draw will be made on 6th October, winner will be notified by message/facebook/phone. Winner must be able to collect the prize from Redland Bay, Queensland.

Paper Angels annual Christmas card workshops

We have received so many enquiries already about this year’s Christmas Card Workshops and are incredibly excited to formally announce that bookings are now officially open. I will be attending the Redland Bay and Wellington Point venues, and Coorapooroo if required, so you have a choice!
If you click on the above brochure, you will be able to read all the details clearly! Note we have kept the cost at the same price for the past 5 years, being $65 for an entire day (10am till 4pm) of fun, friends and creativity. This is great value! Some venues you will be able to purchase lunch, and because they are generously waiving the room hire fee it is requested that you do not bring your own lunch but eat at the venue.
We have provided an opportunity for you to choose a wood rather than the supplied clear mount stamp, for an extra $7; as well as the opportunity to buy the coordinating ‘Framelits Die Cutting System’ for the included stamp set for an additional $32, rather than the separate price later of $42.95. You do not need to choose either of these options, they are simply there for your convenience/choice.
We are very grateful to Stampin' Up! Australia for providing us with donations of SU products to raffle at each event, please bring some extra cash for tickets for what will be a fantastic array of products to win! There will also be the usual Christmas card competition, so get creative!
Payment is required at the time of booking so that your stamp set, papers, sanding system and kit may be ordered.
Please book with me by email or phone 0446 519 915. Places are limited and some venues will book out quickly, so please do book in promptly to avoid disappointment.

Grab a bargain from the retires list before stocks go!

OK, it’s that time of year when we are ushering out the old and welcoming in the new. August is the last month of the current Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and also the LAST CHANCE to snap up retiring products (some of which are on sale) from the retired stamp & accessory list.

I thought I would help you wade through the very long accessory list by highlighting the top 7 bargains! If you are interested in these, you will need to act QUICKLY as it is a first in best dressed basis on retiring products in August and it will be no surprise that the sale items often go first. I am placing an order tonight (Thursday) as well as tomorrow (Friday) and then a couple of days after that again – the sooner your order comes to me, the better your chance of securing your favourite retiring product (you know the one you’ve been meaning to order but as yet haven’t) and/or a major bargain.
‘Nursery Nest’ Designer Series Paper is now 40% OFF and instead of the usual $18.95, you can now purchase as many packets as you like for only $11.37. This is an awesome paper and great for cardmaking and scrapbooking alike. This paper would make a great gift for a papercrafter, someone having a baby, or dare I even say it ‘wrapping paper’ for small gifts!
Can you believe this! 75% OFF these Christmas Designer Fabric Packs! Each pack includes 3 beautifully coordinated designs in an extra-wide fat quarter size, each piece being approx 68.6 x 45.7. These packs are now ONLY $4.99. Seriously this has to be the best bargain of all and I can see loads of applications, from patchwork to gifting such as covering jar lids on home made Christmas Treats! Really it’s only limited by your imagination and at this price you can afford to stock up and maybe even include them as stocking fillers in gifts for crafty friends!
Some demonstrators are expressing shock that the Crop a Dile is being retired and I’m hearing them – I use this tool all the time. I can only imagine that it is because eyelets are no longer a current trend in papercrafting at present. However, this is a tool well worth having for it’s magnificent ability to punch holes through chipboard and multiple layers of cardstock with ease! But don’t be sad it’s going, buy one NOW at 25% off Normally $54.95 this must have tool is NOW ONLY $41.21
Don’t cry – this fabulous stamp cleaner is not actually being retired, rather it is being reformatted into a larger square version. I’m guessing this is to make cleaning the larger background stamps easier. Having said that, this current model does the job and if you don’t yet own one and would rather get a discount than wait for the bigger version, now’s the time to buy one. Normally $28.95, this essential tool is now 25% off and is NOW $21.71. What a great present for a fellow stamper who doesn’t yet own one too!
Loving this ‘continuous’ border punch, which stands alone, is great as a border tucked under another layer, or also looks great with ribbon threaded through it. Unbelievably this punch is 40% OFF and instead of the normal $38.95 NOW you can order for $23.37!
Finally the Triple Layer ‘Blossom Bouquet’ Punch is also 40% OFF and instead of $44.95 you’ll pay ONLY $26.97! What a bargain when you consider that this punch actually punches 4 different flowers which either stand alone or can be layered in different colours. Enjoy!

Don’t forget, these products plus the rest of the retired list, is only available whilst stocks last. I cannot order them once they have run out OR past the 31st August! Every year, I get contacted after this date and asked if I can get something from the previous catalogue – really this is true. Sadly I cannot help these people and it makes me sad!

Girls with Gifts

retirement list

Well, it's that time of year again, where we try and resist buying everything on the retirement list, but then we end of buying loads anyway because we'll never get the chance again!
The Stampin' Up! retirement list is accessible here from the web site, please place your orders as soon as you can because some items do go out of stock quickly. Don't panic about some of the accessories becoming retired, a lot of them will be re-packaged or re-branded I expect; the ink pads are all staying but they will have a new 'firm foam' base to stamp on which gives a lot better image reproduction. Only select Stampin’ Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin’ Write Markers in Colour Families will continue to be offered), 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered, 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colours and colour collections. So if you want to stock up on some of these items now is the best time to do so. A huge discount of 75% off is available on two of the Designer Fabrics, and you'll find a lot of stock reduced by 25 - 40%. Happy shopping!

Cheers!

This is a version of a card I first made over four years ago at my very first workshop as a demonstrator! Kim and Justine may remember this one! Its a great concept because of course you can make any six-letter word greeting on the front, or perhaps just a four letter one like 'Love' or 'Girl' for a new baby card perhaps? Anyway, I love this alphabet set, 'Broadsheet Alphabet' and I love the simplicity of the layout. Hope you like it...
